Well back to a normal working week after a lovely outdoor filled long holiday weekend. It has been a pleasant and enjoyable weekend all round.

As a family we had a road trip into Somerset, England on Saturday enjoying the scenery and the sunshine. With fresh air walking around local beauty spots you really get a feel for how we should enjoy the outdoors more.

Having the privilege to deal one to one with business men and women who strive to set-up and maintain a successful energy saving business with Enigin, it’s interesting to see what each individual places top of the list of priorities.

In some rare cases, potential business owners have put high importance on training or skills. But, as any successful entrepreneur will tell you, marketing is the number one priority in your business. And why wouldn’t it be? It is a fundamental building block in building a successful business. How are people going to buy without first being informed of your products? How are people going to be informed of your products without advertising?

Enigin - Energy Saving Solutions for Schools!

posted by enigin in Uncategorized

School’s Out! Running out!

Running out of time and energy, schools are under a lot of pressure and many are finding themselves in a crisis situation.

‘As of October last year, schools were legally required to display a certificate giving details of annual energy consumption. Assessed on a rating from A to G, where A is the most energy efficient and G the least, schools were obviously desperate to reduce their carbon footprint in an attempt to reduce their ever rising energy bills and be more environmentally friendly! This is clearly an important issue, as failure to display a certificate is punishable by a fine of £500, and failure to have an advisory report, by a fine of £1,000.” -TeachingExpertise

Still enjoy the summer - how?

posted by enigin in Uncategorized

Well the weather is still here, the warmth, the sun, the beach and the bbqs. We didn’t really believe that England would remain the World Cup any longer, did we?

Something that so many people have been so excited about and looked forward to for so long, is over for residents of England. We are well and truly out of the summers World Cup, and in such a shameful way. But having expected it, it is not so bad.

Here in the UK we are still enjoying gorgeous weather and still have a long and hopefuly summer to enjoy. And then there is still Wimbledon, for now.

So lets hope we do end up with something to celebrate at the end of this week. But we must remember, we can still enjoy the summer here in the UK. We are well and truly used to the disappointment of sports and truly many have come to expect it.

Best summer in how long?

posted by enigin in Uncategorized

Well summer is in full swing. I actually can’t remember the last rainy, coldish day we had here in Cornwall, UK. We have sun, blue skys and warmth, actually heat from the sun.

I have lost count of the amount of BBQs we have already had. Already I am sure we have had more since May then we have had in the last 3 years.

So far had a number of visits to the beach, some in hot sunshine during the day, some lovely early evening trips to the beach with a BBQ in tow of course. It is nice to enjoy this kind of weather. Peoples attitudes improve so much, they are happier, friendlier, more accommodating.

And then there is the World Cup - well where do we start. The atmosphere and feeling that adds to a summers day is a whole other story!

Enigin - Stuffed like a roast turkey…

It’s Monday afternoon and as any 9 to 5 working guy or girl would know, Mondays are never received positively! The weekend seems to be over before it had even begun, and some are still feeling the after effects of a spirited drink or two on Saturday night. And in some ways, the team here at Enigin are no exceptions.

But even though everyone walks through the doors with a fatigued expression and sleep in their eyes, by 10 O’clock everyone is in top form, responding to emails, making phone calls, catching up with fellow colleges. The atmosphere is always positive and you always feel better for seeing everyone. There is a real team spirit at Enigin which is so seldom now-a-days, and its always a pleasure to come to work - even if its just to see Sue’s crimson framed, pearly white smile!

Today Sam Williams, enigin’s stunning accountant and Sue Gilbert, enigin’s glamourous receptionist joined me for an incredible feast at our niegbouring restaurant. With fantastic food, great company and endless girly natter, it was a welcome break from my computer. But after finishing my farmhouse tuna sandwhich, salad and chips, AND the remains of six desserts, I’m now feeling rather full and exhausted. It was so tasty though, I just couldn’t leave it. After all, Enigin is all about conserving, not wasting!

No wonder the Distributors enjoy their Enigin lunches so much!
