Schools to Manage Energy Efficiency
There are programmes now being released to encourage more schools to become energy efficient, and monitor their energy use.
Schools are one of the biggest organisations to use energy, on a daily basis. With lights in classrooms, temperatures needing to be kept at a certain degree for the children, cars used by teachers, mini buses used by pupils as well as many other areas, schools need their energy monitored.
At Enigin we often work, through Enigin Distributors, with schools and educational centers to help to curtail their spiraling energy bills and consumption. Using Enigin products to control energy waste and manage energy use.
Here in Europe a Sustainable Learning program is changing set up to help schools monitor their energy use, change it and save money.
Currently this program helps to take control of energy and water costs by getting everyone involved. From the summer term currently in play the program will become bigger and better! A link up of schools across the continent and help to tackle transport and food too! Schools, teachers and pupils will become “Carbon Detectives!”.
A registration with Sustainable Learning is available, if already registered do not need to do anything as details are going to be transferred across automatically over the Easter holidays.
The current Sustainable Learning programme will be running until the end of the summer term.
What a great opportunity to encourage young ones to get involved, through their school. Why not find out what you can do yourselves at school, home or at work to become a Carbon Detective too and manage energy.
